The project included research into semantics, and the effect of nostalgia within a design environment. From this, an exhibition was produced of meticulously designed collages utilizing snippets of LIFE Magazines; combining nostalgic imagery with contemporary references. This project intended to blur the boundaries between formal art and design, and understand the methods and practices of each, and apply them accordingly. I decided to represent this through the family in the movie, The Royal Tenenbaums. The pink color reflects the theme of the movie creates a relatable aspect to the poster. The text is made up of Futura Bold (which is found in all of Wes Anderson's movies) and hand rendered type. The fusion of the two very distinct styles represents the differentiation of interactions with different characters.
